1. Who we are
AppliCand ("AppliCand," "we," "us") operates a platform that helps job seekers identify the hiring managers and recruiters behind a role, reveal their professional contact information, and run guided outreach. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to applicand.com and the AppliCand app.
2. Information we collect
Account & profile data you give us: name, email, password (stored hashed), and — if you sign in with LinkedIn — your LinkedIn profile details (name, headline, experience, profile URL). If you upload a resume, we store it and data parsed from it.
Usage data: jobs you analyze, contacts you reveal, sequences you run, credit activity, and basic device/log data.
Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
Third-party contact data: to power the product we obtain business-contact information about hiring managers and recruiters (name, title, employer, work email, phone numbers, business address, LinkedIn URL) from data providers and public sources.
3. How we use information
To provide and operate the service (analyze postings, surface and enrich contacts, run outreach sequences, track interviews); to process payments and credits; to secure and improve the product; and to communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Service providers we share data with
We use trusted processors who act on our behalf under contract: Supabase (auth, database, storage), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (analyzing postings and drafting messages), People Data Labs (business-contact enrichment), Apify (retrieving public job-posting content), Stripe (payments), and LinkedIn (optional sign-in). We share only what each provider needs, and never with advertisers.
5. Contact data & your consent
When you use AppliCand you direct us to retrieve and process business-contact information about specific people on your behalf, and you confirm you will use it only for legitimate, lawful job-seeking outreach. You may not use contact data for spam, resale, marketing lists, harassment, or any purpose prohibited by law. You are responsible for your outreach, including any calls, emails, and messages you send (see our Terms of Use).
6. Rights of people in our contacts database
We process business-contact data for B2B outreach. Any individual may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information by emailing privacy@applicand.com, and we will honor verified requests as required by applicable law.
7. Your choices
You can view and update your profile in the app, request export or deletion of your account data, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To delete your account, contact us below.
8. Data retention & security
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and operational purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security), but no system is perfectly secure.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and sessions. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Children
AppliCand is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes & contact
